GISELA JONAS, Schwabinger Laterne & Schwabing-Lied
Posted: March 27, 2008 Filed under: 60s, Adult Records | Tags: Munich, Schwabing Leave a comment »By the time this came out Gisela Jonas was the icon of Schwabing chosen by the big record company Phillips to represent Schwabing on this souvenir record. Of course the songs on this one are much tamer than her earlier work.
She married in 1965 and in 1975 moved away from Munich. In recent years she got some awards honoring her legendary status in Munich and a short film about her life was made for local Bavarian television.
A re-release of her complete recordings or a book about her interesting life remains to be published.

About me:
My name is Andreas Michalke. I´m a cartoonist from Berlin, Germany and I like collecting records. Most of the records I find in thrift stores or at flea markets here in Berlin. I like a lot of music but I thought I`d focus on odd German records. Preferably with cartoon covers.
All my scans are high-resolution. If you double-click on them they will get much bigger.
