DBM & T, Mr. President, 1970

In time for the US presidential elections on Tuesday here`s some last words to former president Bush:
“When I grow up to be a man
I won`t lie for you
I won`t die for you
because I think you`re wrong
Mr. President”
DBM & T were Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich after Dave Dee had left the group. Pretty much a bubblegum beat band they were not exactly known for making political statements in their songs. Although this record made it into the British Top 40 they had little success and the group fell apart shortly after.
Let`s hope that Obama at least stands by his plans to move US troops out of Iraq and end this war that can not be won. Obama, yes you can…

About me:
My name is Andreas Michalke. I´m a cartoonist from Berlin, Germany and I like collecting records. Most of the records I find in thrift stores or at flea markets here in Berlin. I like a lot of music but I thought I`d focus on odd German records. Preferably with cartoon covers.
All my scans are high-resolution. If you double-click on them they will get much bigger.
