WERNER MÜLLER UND DAS RIAS-TANZORCHESTER, Music-Box-Favoriten, 1959

music-box-favoriten-frontmusic-box-favoriten-backmusic-box-favoriten-labelBelieve it or not, but after posting some of Werner Müller`s records last week,  I found this one a couple of days later in a thrift-store in my street for 1 Euro.

I know, “Potpourris” are kinda lame and I really can`t explain why I like these, but I do.

KLINGENDE POST Nr.13, 1959

klingende-post-13-frontklingende-post-13-backklingende-post-13-labelThis record has a picture of Werner Müller and Gitta Lind on the back. Werner Müllergitta-lind-werner-mueller was a orchestra leader from Berlin who was very popular in the early 60`s.

I will do a more extensive post on the forgotten  rockin`sides of the Werner Müller orchestra next week. Again this Klingende Post record is pretty bad so I`ll add Gitta Lind backed by Werner Müller and his Orchestra, singing the German versgitta-lind-labelion of  Edd Byrnes “Kookie” from the TV-series “77 Sunset Strip”.

The record is pretty scratched-up, but it´ll give you an idea:

KLINGENDE POST I/1963

klingende-post-i-1963-frontklingende-post-i-1963-backklingende-post-i-1963-labelOn the sleeve a teenager (I`m guessing) wrote down with a pencil, which of her friends had which records (and would probably bring them to the Party!) Anne: Just like Eddie, Vera: Sweets For My Sweets & It`s all a Game, Marlis: Twist and Shout.

I bet they played the hell out of those few records they had. No downloading for a mp3-party back then!

DIE WAIKIKIS, Der dritte Mann auf Hawaii

GERD BÖTTCHER, Meine Braut, die kann das besser

ELVIS PRESLEY, Kiss Me Quick

WERNER MÜLLER, Speedy Gonzales
